1 in 5 children in Oklahoma are food insecure.
Binger is a rural town in a food dry zone (approx. 436 residents in 2023)
Nearly 20% of Oklahoma’s children face food insecurity, higher than the national average.
Like many small towns, Binger is facing significant food challenges, including:
Transportation – limited grocery options – limited job availability.
Around 15.4% of households are food insecure.
Millions statewide rely on food banks and pantries, including many not eligible for assistance programs.
Right now, 1 in 5 American kids don’t have enough food and don’t know where their next meal will come from.
